The Gratitude Grant Project is a student-led initiative that empowers high school students to give back to their schools through service, leadership, and community involvement, while expressing appreciation for the educators, staff, and communities that support student growth—creating positive, lasting impact one school space at a time.

Former Stallions returned to their elementary school to give back and make a difference. Volunteers cleaned and organized a portable that had been used for storage for many years, giving it a fresh start. Items were sorted for donation, recycling, or disposal, while needed materials were neatly organized.
The Gratitude Grant Project’s first initiative focused on revitalizing the atrium at Pond Springs Elementary School. With the help of adults and six student volunteers, the team cleaned the space, removed debris, and refreshed the garden beds with new soil—creating a more welcoming environment for students and staff. The school later recognized the effort by featuring the project in their newsletter.
The Gratitude Grant Project is dedicated to giving back to RRISD schools through small initiatives that make a meaningful impact. We are currently looking for high school student and adult volunteers for our upcoming project.
Now that we have cleaned and organized the portable, the school needs our help moving the remaining items, such as racks and bins, into the moving truck. . Once completed, the portable will be relocated to another school and repurposed as a classroom—directly supporting students and learning.
