The Gratitude Grant Project’s first initiative focused on revitalizing the atrium at Pond Springs Elementary School. With the help of six student volunteers, the team cleaned the space, removed debris, and refreshed the garden beds with new soil—creating a more welcoming environment for students and staff. The school later recognized the effort by featuring the project in their newsletter.
Upcoming Project
The Gratitude Grant Project is dedicated to giving back to RRISD schools through small initiatives that make a meaningful impact. We are currently looking for high school student and adult volunteers for our upcoming project.
At Patsy Sommer, we will be cleaning and removing items from a portable that has been used for storage. Once completed, the portable will be relocated to another school and repurposed as a classroom—directly supporting students and learning.
